CTHU😂: Watching this Ohio St-Nebraska game today and just now one of the announcers said “Prince was a good basketball player, Charlie Murphy told me so” and made some sort of comment about the tight ends playing in the game and then said something about pancakes. The other announcer said “Dave Chappelle yes, I remember that” and they’re both chuckling. Me: LMentireAO, cuz #myDude💜 is everywhere!😁

#iSwear only Prince💜 knew the revolution would begin in Minneapolis.💯 Justice was served today for once.✊🏽 #EPICparadigmshift He was prophetic like that in so many ways, for so many years, on a great many things.👁 <—- If you don’t know what I’m talmbout, “betta ask somebody!”.😉😁 In his song 2020, he sang “the force of nature is what brought us here”.— Think about that....It was only because the whole.👏🏽 world.👏🏽came to a complete stop due to this virus sidelining us at home that we collectively witnessed George Floyd’s murder. If that hadn’t happened he’d be just another hashtag😒, many people going on about their daily lives without so much as a blink of an eye.😞 Let’s hope and pray🙏🏽 that this is the beginning of true police reform that this nation so desperately needs, holding dirty cops accountable, and rooting out systemic racism. Our hero💜 would want nothing less, he sang about it on so many songs. Today is also the eve of 4/21 too... think that’s a coincidence??😏

Watching this program about Tom Petty on Axs Tv just now and one of the commenters said “I didn’t realize how much he was loved until the world over started showing him love after died”. Another said “He’s a musician’s musician, so well-respected by his peers, his contemporaries, and even the acts that came before and after him”. It brought a little smile😏 to my face because that’s how I feel about Prince.🥰 We’re Pfams🤘🏽, so we’ve always been kinda in our own lil purple world, but the amount of love, respect, public displays, tweeting, musical tributes, mourning, and images in the days/Weeks/MONTHS following 4/21 was astonishing then, and it still blows me away to this day.🤯 I’ve never seen anything like it for another artist, before or since. Not even when MJ died.💯

This guy #WalterMercado reminds me of Prince in many ways.😊 He broke all the rules on masculinity in image & clothing and pushed social boundaries, always uplifting & putting out positive vibes of peace and love, singlehandedly (albeit indirectly in the case of P) carved out a public space for tolerance of LGBTQ folks in a culture that was not-so-readily-accepting just by being himself, and just a worldwide beloved icon by all the people who grew up with him just like we did with Prince. Homie even had to fight over 6yrs in court for the right to use his own material he created, his image, even his birth name. Sound familiar??👀

ICYMI: It’s back!!!!🤩😍🥳 Now if SiriusXM will just quit playing with my emotions and just keep it permanent, we will be happy HAPPY fams.😬 With over 40 official albums, countless covers of his materials, several side acts, scores of songs he’s written for others, acts that inspired him, plus tons of his live material and no shortage of insider stories/interviews/productionnotes, there’s more than ample material to support a 24/7 channel without being terribly repetitive. He gave us the song Baltimore not too long after the death of Freddie Gray. I’m pretty sure had he not trans4med🦋 we’d have another song or perhaps even a whole album from him eventually after the murder of #GeorgeFloyd... esp. since ground -0- is right there in his beloved hometown of #MPLS. I have no doubt he’d be deeply troubled by what’s happening now, but also by climate that precipitated it too. He was one of the first major artists to publicly support #BlackLivesMatter✊🏽 and donated funds, that would still be the case if he were still with us right now. #L41A💜

It’s funny how you take stuff for granted sometimes. I got to meet #ChuckD when he spoke here several years ago and we chopped it up for a little bit on a number of things.🤩 This was pre-4/21. It’s been so long I don’t recall, but it occurred to me just now that I don’t think I ever asked him about his work with Prince on Undisputed and what that experience was like.😮 Chance of a lifetime to hear something purple firsthand, and I blew it.😒 I never imagined having to live life without Prince in it, none of us in the Purple Collective did, it was just inconceivable.💯 It still is, I struggle to accept it.😞 If that same meeting with Chuck were to happen today, I’m pretty sure that’s just about all I would be asking about.💜😊

I was on a #purple channel earlier today listening to some purple goodies. I mentioned I’ve been P fam for 38+yrs. Another user was like ‘ur from the old school’. I said ‘that's right, almost the beginning. I was 4’. They said “u were corrupted at an early age’.
